it was easy to see from the game on saturday...the different reaction from those involved do they have "Soul" ..the Mentality ..what Shanks used to call "natural enthusiam" an ENERGY that remains positive no matter what..disappointment or obstacle..? Rafa used it a lot , hodgson wouldnt unedrstand it in a million years, when things went wrong he blamed everyone; he blamed Kenny, Rafa , the players and even us, the Supporters, Kenny, is doing right to get everyone focussed on the positive and play down any animosity toward a man ("woy") who should never have been employed, mind you people like Parry, Hicks, Purslow and Broughton should NEVER have been allowed anywhere near our club, and the likes of Poulsen, Cole, and Konchseky, are not "Liverpool players"..even Raul , whose good form seemed to have been left in his games for Portugal, has recently improved , lacks some "bottle" when he should be fighting for the Team
Hodgson obviously told his players to rough up our
team, and with a biased referee like Atkinson, they got away with kicking
and provoking our players, thus distracting them from footy, is this the
actions of a "nice man" ? Becauses hodgson only cares about his own Reputation,
bigging himself up with the "35 years" in the job..Well there are people
that do things wrong or who have been fascists ALL their life, that dont
make them worthy as human beings does it? the capitalist "victory"
has given us a complete generation grown on selfish action, material /
commercial obsession and gain at everyone else's expense, this is a STUPID
method, guaranteed to end in desitruction, a child could see that, if only
their mothers did buy into the "bling" also...i asked a
group of young woman years ago what they wanted from
life, a good man?, a family life? a productive career? peace on earth?
....none of it...90% wanted a BIG new car and fashion!!..and when I see
the "bling" of the modern "barbie & ken" generation these "parents"
are going to be even worse??
I try to explain "core values" to global REdS fans
, (treu REdS Supportert understand already) the sort of "collective spirit"
which gets everyone looking after each other, whilst the "system" wants
to "divide and rule" you, a good team, like a good society ; harnesses
the individual talent and the connection between, us to appreciate the
effort and energy that a current player like Lucas (and Sammy Lee or Ian
Cahaghan before him) is , in his way as important to the "collective" ..the
team ; as Luis Suarez or Stevie G.....its the same in society ; people
now are more selfish than ever ; and
that been the "propaganda" of the last 50 years ...Those
of us that TRULY understand the "SPIRIT of ShanklY" (and dont just spout
the words or wear the t-shirt), grew up in an atmosphere ; a phenomenon
that was social-cultural ; a "SuperNova"
the unique value & methods of a man Like Bill Shankly coming together
with the music of the Beatrles (and ideals of the developing John Lennon)
made LIVERPOOL the "centre of the Universe" this energy exists today with
our supporters ; within Rafa and Kenny (back again) despite those who repeatedly
attempt to "normalise" us with their "we must be like the others" they
would have us "sell our soul" our stadium name and "franchise" the things
that make us UNIQUE
...WE are LIVERPOOL, WE are the CLUB not NESV
(NEVER G & H!) nor Henry-Werner, THEY must bend to OUR ways not us
to theirs , and that is what our "Universal REdS Supporters
Union Network ("ursun") is striving
for, within and without football.

unfortunately the "fickle" mentality of society has infected a part of our fans, they even jeered Carra years ago, they dont understand "the Liverpool way" and dont deserve to be part of our club..Lucas came when we were singing "we ve got the best midfield in the world ..." Xabi, Momo Stevie and Masch..anytime Lucas got a run out (some) fans were comparing him to some of the best, still the best in the world, but to me he was always a "pass and mover" the sort of player, like Sammy Lee and Ian Callaghan before him, that seem to always be a cog that allows more talented "parts" to do their "thing"..I wont go overboard about him, but I will always appreciate a team player, and so should everyone, then, now and in the future..and btw , congrats on the biryh of yr son, ..!

ChriS SmiTH >?@ janet thats too bland a reaction...but i do agree that some need a kick up the backside, it dont help when we have had so many injuries to the defence , thats Kelly, Fabio , Agger and Glen all injured at the same time, no ones squad can lose 4 defensive players and not be affected...some of our players form isnt much different from some of our fans ...give up too easily..
.... the damage done to our club last year, by Hicks, Purslow & Hodgson still hasnt been totally eradicated, , Kenny had done wonders, but if instead of jones, cole, konch, and poulsen , we had signed at leats 2 other quality players and kept Aquilani and Insua (with Kenny, instead of hodgson) we would be top now..
Marie >Kenny has to work with what he has between now and the end of the season........lets hope he gets his contract sorted and can set about rebuilding for next season.....we need to get rid of the lazy, couldn't be arsed 'players' and bring in 5 or 6 quality football players who WANT to play for Liverpool....
ChriS> ?@Marie, I feel 5 or 6 completely new players to "settle in" during the summer could be to many, and could also block the way for the young players coming through, and I dont see that many quality players out there that fit the style we wan...t, I feel maybe 6/7 players ; INCLUDING aquilani & insua back plus 2 high level (world class) if we can get them plus pacheco and anotherother of the young players to replace the 4 signed by purslow , javanovic, who hasnt dont it for us, and fabio (contunually injuerd) and perhaps Ayala back from loan as cover for dAgger
Marie >I would totally agree that the youngsters Suso, Sterling, Pascheco etc should be given a chance.....if they are good enough, they are old enough. The reason I said 5 or 6 is mainly because for some unknown reason the young lads don't make... first team........we seem to prefer to buy average rather than develop the good young lads. Maybe if more consideration was given to the development of our youth rather than selling them on like Dalla Vallee, we might be better off. ASt least with Kenny at the help there is some chance of this.

.............watching the game again today on Lfctv, we really started well, but if you have played the game at any level, you know how difficult it is to build a game when your defence has 2 major changes in the first half - hour, at the same time the blatantly biased ref allowed hodgson"alehouse tactics" to kick our players without any protection, lost 2 creative players so soon, with DAgger and Glen going off also affected our attacking game, obviously making the players mindful of a weakened defence and with the absence of SG, Raul didnt step up, and looked he (and Dirk) had left his best playing for his country..TWO penalties ..?? Soto got exposed and the game went from us, and we left it too late, despire more chances to get the game back at the end..(another) one of THOSE days, more worrying for me is the injury to Danny..because we could still win all our games and get back into europe..be thankful that the fool hodgson isn't still in charge..because that soort of footy belongs to a division below us..before the moaning gets out of hand..
