I formed "F.U."  ("Freedom e Union") on may 1st 2000, since then, the UNofficial Network of Liverpool Supporters Union has developed "Naturally" , we now have a facebook group (closed) ..with the following aims;  to identify the true "Spirit of Shankly & his "Liverpool way" &

- inform and encourage Lfc fans to understand and adopt the original "SUPPORTers code" (mentality)
- develop an unofficial network worldwide
- enjoy and discuss relevant information articles & discussions
- aim to influence and partcipate in LFC
- to support any worthy event by REdS supporters anywhere in the world

AS someone who "grew up" on the terraces of the old standing Kop when Shanks made us great and turned an average club into a world force may I propose to compile a list of things that us "original Kopites" consider to be the "Liverpool way" that the great Bill Shankly bestowed upon us..this group can be like the rest,(and their are hundreds of Lfc groups & forums full of the same rubbish) just filled up with banal comment and snips from the (mostly biased ) misinformed media OR we can be a leader of ethics...and a good example to all..

I wont try to load up too much..but here are just a couple of things we believe Identifies a "True RED"

support, anyone can be a fan, Supporters do exactly that, they support, through good times & bad, I recall when we went from '66 to 73 without a major trophy we also won the football keague "best supporters trophy" and half-time in Istanbul singing "YNWA" is an example that lifts us above other clubs..
WE are the club, supporters raised the level , sang the songs in our special way before any other club in the world on the Kop *when between 20-30 000 "working class" men had one voice..learn the songs, make us new ones..but..

remember to have dignity, yes we "hate" Man U etc but I dont agree with the "munich " song that is in bad taste, ...also Shanks instilled what we call the "holy trinity" (players , manager & supporters bonding as one, each loyal and prepared to fight % argue and help each other( we dont (oublicly ) insult our players , our manager or our supporters .. ( its ok to argue in private and state your opinion in a constrctive way ..but out & out insult ..without discussion saying "xxxx is a c*nt" etc not our way..

(before anyone mentions hodgson, ....anyone who has studied LFC 's recent history will know that the club was managed by fraudsters and people placed in charge from outside , like (back-stabber) purslow & broughton (a chelski fan) ..they forced out the most succesful manager in 20 years (Rafa) and replaced him with a "loser" , a yes man = roy hodson,,so its ok to insult hodgson because he is NOT one of us, and he insults "the Livqerpool way" by lies , tricks & bad mouthing of our club, ur players (and insulted our supporters when WE protested aginst tHicks & co..

we will applaud a team that beats us by playing better football (unless its mancs or bluesh&te) ...its rare but it happens and we sometimes even cheer a team we are batteringm, like when I watched us beat Basiktas 8-0 ..because we are not snobs ..

we are Fair, this is something thats is in your mentality or not..we hate the media who generally lie, (increasingly since the scandal of Hillsborough) they hate us, because so many journalists are mancs or cockneys or follow one or other of our european rivals, and the y are scared that we will dominate again..consider this every time you read a press or tv article about us..and even ex=liverpool players and our own official website have an "agenda" (it got sick during the "cowboys" phase and hasnt been "healed" by the new guys who are less informed that you are!

sorry if this seems "professorial" ..I hope to learn your language so that we can understand each other better, I am avalable for questions, it is an honour to be a TRUE RED ,so please dont take this too casually ..you are the club, we are the club, WE are LIV-ER-POOL!

Simultaneously modern "Bling" (which is more about "packaging" than content) arrived in the biggest game in the World, the sport of most kids, a culture than was naturally introduced to boys has been exploited at all levels.with the USA infliltrating "soccer" their corporate vultures infected the home of our culture; and in the nineties introduced their form of "prostitution" (which ruined their own Baseball, NFL & basketball leagues) into the traditional "Football League" and turned it into the billion dollar "Premiereship".

MY fight ,

I worked as an office boy at 16 years old, I formed a staff association at 21, married, divorced & made a million (GBP) before I was thirty, luckily a meningitis – induced coma stopped me from becoming a european version of  W. Gates and I woke up after a week and vowed to "go the other way" (to be "alternative"  <smile> ) amongst other things I have organised demos, peace campaigns, (including co-operating the start of "human shields") – I have been "examined" (a total of 24 months military style "investigative detention" by several judges & state attorneys without conviction) I formed a Union to fight for Justice & and social equality , ecological intelligence, & personal development …..and I supported MY club..in any & every way I could, starting fan groups, supporters clubs, coaching, and promoting the LIVERPOOL way…but the damage was done in my "Hometown"…(no I was not born there!)"

Dear "Balkan RED-mates"

I am constantly arguing with new or mis-informed fans , who do not grasp the full meaning of being a RED,
we are unique, different from fans of other clubs in many ways, and I remind them all not to insult our players or our supporters from other origins or ethnic groups..

 i mean ;  not just being a "fan" watching on TV or even getting to games, but the true "Spirit of Shankly...the LIVERPOOL way" ..is when we travel together, SIGN together, support together, we also support each other...like a BIg REdS family, whther you are born in Bootle or Beograd, Nova Scotia or Novi Sad, Tranmere, or Tuzla, Podgorica, Tirana...etc...its your mentality and how you respet our collective culture that counts..Kenny shows us the way ...again..on the field and in the interview, WE should remember to maintain this mentality in OUR way ...

I am coming to help "queen Rakija of Tuzla"  with the BiH meeting (SA/Tuzla) the 4th / 5th meeting, then continuing to Subotica for a "mini-meet" to watch the game @Sparta on Tv with the Reds there, then N. Sad to meet Izzy and any Reds available, then to finish with a weekend in Beograd before coming back to Pg, I am not a tourist, I am also not rish, I rely on some "hospitality" and I am HOPING (expecting) REdS to appreciate my support of activities in the region, and my limited budget. NIna has been working on the website (still "blocked" by facebook, Nina??) and doing her best, regarding location, t-shirts etc but i only read "questions" and no "answers" on the admin group..

last saturday people I never met before found me a couch for the night in a spare room, our RED-mate Luka (Beograd) family in Kovin provided a bed one time, and three student friends on other times, the family of a REd in Kotor too, one night,  I have a flat in Pg, so obviously I dont want to pay for hostel beds (and leats of all do I want to spend my time in those places, thats not my lief, I am a volunteer, not a travelling salesman nor a tourist) I do this because I love the CLUB and the supporters and wish to share this with new RED-mates and bring you into the feelings which are beyond comparison

I am grateful , if you can help ..but only because you WANT to, ......

a) design and organise t-shirts (to cost 2,50/3e each)
b) help Nina with the website/facebook group admin  etc
c) locate couch for my visits..(please)

my interim plan dates from 13th until  20 feb 2011

from Pg via SA to Tuzla to Subotica to N. Sad to Beograd to Pg( with BUS)

PROPOSED dates

to arrive Tuzla sunday-13th evening
(spend a couple/3 of days/nights  there to sort out plans fopr the march 5/6th weekend)
to be in Subotica for the meeting thursday 17th
to be in N.Sad 18th for an informal meeting with Izzy and any ther REds
to spend w/end 19/20 in Beograd, hopefully with Luka & Serboys..

I may have to change plans  if I dont get local co-operation..

I hope I get to meet averyone and exchange some stories and some ideas for travel to Anfield and other benefits for our REdS union..
