One particular Christmas season a long time ago, Santa was getting ready for is annual trip, but there were problems everywhere. Four of his elves got sick, and the trainee elves did not produce the toys as fast as the regular ones so Santa... was beginning to feel the pressure of being behind schedule. Then Mrs. Claus told Santa that her mom was coming to visit. This stressed Santa even more.

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two had jumped the fence and were out, heaven knows where. More stress.

Then when he began to load the sleigh one of the boards cracked, and the toy bag fell to the ground and scattered the toys. So, frustrated, Santa went into the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered that the elves had hidden the liquor, and there was nothing to drink. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider pot, and it broke into hundreds of little pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found that mice had eaten the straw end of the broom.

Just then the doorbell rang, and irritable Santa trudged to the door. He opened the door, and there was a little angel with a great Christmas tree.

The angel said, very cheerfully, "Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't it a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?"

Thus began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

(my interpretion of my mentor ; Shanks's Ideals)

AS someone who "grew up" on the terraces of the old standing Kop when Shanks made us great and turned an average club into a world force may I propose to compile a list of things that us "original Kopites" consider to be the "Liverpool way" that the great Bill Shankly bestowed upon us..this group can be like the rest,(and there are hundreds of Lfc groups & forums full of the same rubbish) just filled up with banal comment and snips from the (mostly biased ) misinformed media OR we can be a leader of ethics...and a good example to all..

I wont try to load up too much on you..but here are just a couple of things we believed Identifies a "True RED"

support, anyone can be a fan, Supporters do exactly that, they support, through good times & bad, I recall when we went from '66 to 73 without a major trophy we also won the football keague "best supporters trophy"
and half-time in Istanbul singing "YNWA" is an example that lifts us above other clubs..

WE are the club, supporters raised the level , sang the songs in our special way before any other club in the world on the Kop *when between 20-30 000 "working class" men had one voice..learn the songs, make us new ones..but..

.....remember to have dignity, yes we "hate" Man U etc but I dont agree with the "munich " song that is in bad taste, ...also Shanks instilled what we call the "holy trinity" (players , manager & supporters bonding as one, each loyal and prepared to fight % argue and help each other( we dont (oublicly ) insult our players , our manager or our supporters .. ( its ok to argue in private and state your opinion in a constrctive way ..but out & out insult ..without discussion saying "xxxx is a c*nt" etc not our way..

(before anyone mentions hodgson, ....anyone who has studied LFC 's recent history will know that the club was managed by fraudsters and people placed in charge from outside , like (back-stabber) purslow & broughton (a chelski fan) ..they forced out the most succesful manager in 20 years (Rafa) and replaced him with a "loser" , a yes man = roy hodson,
so it IS "ok" to insult hodgson because he is NOT one of us,
and he insults "the Liverpool way" by lies , tricks & bad mouthing of our club, our players
(and insulted our supporters when WE protested aginst tHicks & co..)

we will applaud a team that beats us by playing better football (unless its mancs or bluesh*te <smile>) ...its rare, but it happens, and we sometimes even cheer a team we are battering, like when I watched us beat Basiktas 8-0 ..because we are not cold-hearted ..

we are Fair, this is something thats is in your mentality or not..we hate the media, who generally lie, (increasingly since the scandal of Hillsborough) they hate us, because so many journalists are mancs or cockneys or follow one or other of our european rivals,
...............and they are scared that we will dominate again

..consider this every time you read a press or tv article about us..and even ex=liverpool players and our own official website have an "agenda" (it got sick during the "cowboys" phase and hasnt been "healed" by the new guys who are less informed that you are!)

sorry if this seems "profesorial" ..I hope to learn all your languages so that we can understand each other better, I am avalable for questions, it is an honour to be a TRUE RED ,so please dont take this too casually

No more "Hodgsons choice" ...please!

This internet "discussion" more or less started when a guy calling himself #Gavin Moulton came on a RAFA tribute album to say that " he also did a lot of things wrong, his stubborn ways are his downfall. I dont want Roy but I dont want Rafa back either, I believe an attack minded coach is needed." Which some minght consider reasonable , however, you have to be where I am to see the different ways people are being "conditioned" to accept the current regime @ Anfield and the use of false names on forums & attempts to "nice" their way instead of honest opposition, is incredible, TRUE REDS are passionate, however, there are a lot of "newcomers" most NOTICED to be coming from the states (USA) or london addresses calling themselves Fans & with a "sympathetic agenda" for hodgson & NESV (Henry-Werner) ..(see below) ...the xenophobic english media (which also feeds the footy world with this cr*p) is so biased even our "own" LFcTV attempted recently to stop anti-woy callers on a phone - in show featuring the "new owming yankers"...incredible..? maybe..but TRUE, and TRUTH is alien to them.

I got a lot of "flak" since 2 years of more of Backing Rafa , as One Amran Ahamed said "Rrafa oozes class. And contributed to the REdmen show about a potential Rafa return, for the 2nd time I have made a PETITION.......which "someone" has attmempted to block, so dont be surprised if "strangely" you cant add your name..its been a familair situation for me since I started "challenging" any establishment individual or institutian 15 years ago after I woke from the meningtis-induced coma, I dont care, I "died" once already, what more can you face in life, only self - denial?..So, I wasnt worried about "Gavin" (if thats his real name, as he mysteriously disappreared after losing the arguement ) I told him ,IF he was one of those who was slating Rafa at a time when we was on his own, His argement was so fawed.........................!

"stubborn"?? of course when he was on his own against the xenophobia in the english press and biased media , all top managers & leaders HAVE to believe in their own ability, they also have 11 + egos in the dressing room and if you know that situation then you know that any sign of weakness brings disharmony..Rafa was undermined by board of directors, (parry ) & then later purslow recruiting hodgson whilst rafa was under contract, disloyal Texan owners (talking to klinsmann)....... they are "Bushites"

- everything Rafa done was ANALysed and abused (biased media & ignorant "pundits" too)
- rotation? well hodgson rotates but no media criticism, and "hodgsons choice"concedes more goals from corners & crosses than zonal..)
- not "attack minded" ?
- considering what was going on behind his back ..it was a miracle what he got out of our squad in 08/09 ..close to the title and scored the MOST goals in the EPL, and had the most shots on targets in succesive seasons ..

SO what true reasons are there against Rafa, ? None that are worthy of the sack! ...or do these types just repeat the moronic media, & the "pundits" (none of whom have managed a top team) or the fickle fans that consider footy like a video game..he was forced out whilst under contract, by fraudsters; Hicks, backstabber purslow and a chelski chairman..my LIVERPOOL way , leant from the days of Shanks stands by someone who fights for us, not allows soem yankers so kick him out without standing by him..so if you cant get that in your head, then by all means these shouldnt come on our groups or consider themselves on my "facebook friend" list..

Gavin actually started with a claim that "I love Rafa too" yet when challenged exposed his bias by saying that Rafa should keep his "gob shut" then "gavin" really dont know what Liverpool's true supporters are made of! ,, we are still fighting for Justice for the 96 killed by english police neglect after 21 years, Our enemies can can pick as many "items" as they like but dont mention Shanks, because he created the holy trinity and we wouldn't have rubbished HIM during the period between '66-73 ..when, BTW, we won the football league "best supporters" award , (even though we weren't winning major trophies, we believed in Shanks like WE believe in Rafa during difficult times

*bad transfers? ..more "media sky-washing" ??? ...yes some players didnt work out, but usually Rafa rectified them pretty quickly..and I will balance up all those "duds" with TORRES, REINA, Mascherano, Garcia, Alonso, Agger, Benny, Johnson etc etc young Pacheco? & other starlets ..even Sotos was a bargain..

*talks to the media too much?? (at least he dont contradict himself like hodgson) ;) -Rafa sussed the media agenda out quick, they are full of mancs & cockneys who started to get scared of LFC with Rafa (especially after us getting to our 2nd CL final in 3 years in 07, and then every press conference was a battle because the media from the idiots on sky through to the rag journos trying to trip Rafa up, (and whilst tHicks & co were trying to find a maager that "follows orders" (Klinsmann!!) and we love it thatRafa didnt back down, that why WE love him, because WE , true REDS stand by our man through thick & THIN! and Rafa was and still IS one of us...

*Inter? ...a) Rafa didnt want to go to Inter , WE (LFC) broke the relationship, in the middle of a contract to replace him with someone with no credentials, it shows Rafas courage as a man to take on a job that was impossible..as the previous Inter team had won evrything the season before...if you know ANYthing about man management you will know its the hardest thing to motivate a player to go and do it again, then Inter sold one of their top strikers to Citeh, and since then the squad has been ravaged by injuries,,even then the fickle media were praising Rafa at the beginning of the season for stylish footy (you know the attacking sort that WE love..! ..(btw Inter were 7th (with 2 games in hand of the lead) a fighter & a winner like Rafa is likely to make up the difference, unlike loser hodgson who cant even win half the games he has played..

Rafas record of wins (even including last season) stands up against the best Lfc managers we have had, he still is the best we have had since Kenny..but some guys would rather we look at the back page than see that Rafa is one of a select few men who fits us and could have brought about a new dynasty, instead Lfc sinks like the titanic..
I have no problems with people having opinions, but when stupidity in the media gets repeated by "Lfc fans" resulting in us losing a great man & manager landing us in the mess we have now I take it personally..so "guys" change your tune or keep away from me, because you arent my friend if you helped cause this mess in any shape or form

whether u are a fan of Rafa or not, 2 things cant be denied, a change in management ; from Parry, tHicks, thorough Purslow , Broughton & now fool hodgson has diluted belief..on & off the pitch....Rafa believed we are the best, and with him most of the time we were, feared by all of europe..now no one fears Lfc with hodgson
(OUR OPPPONENTS love him!! = GET THE POINT!!)

we have a a negative coach and a negative atmosphere , full of spin & propaganda aided by xenophobic media and (ex-player) pundits who want an english manager @ Lfc (aparently at "any cost")..Rafa by gavins own admittance Rafa is a kind man, well hes also a GOOD man, and to find one who can also take a team to the heights ..and just look what Rafa HAS won in different leagues..Trophies & cups etc ,of current managers only Fergie & Maureent can compete with that list..Lfc pushed him out...check out Valncia 's president who let Rafa go..he regrets it, Inter will too, and I regret what WE (Lfc) treated the man wrongly when he was fighting for US! (not "U.S. of..A")

we are the club, if NESV, Henry - Werner are to be proven to be of truth & not full of typical USA hot air & slick "PR" then listen to 95% supporters , get hodgson away from us, and 75% of supporters who WANT Rafa back..I will accept Kenny a sinterim care-taker, but if we are a s fair & honourble as we think we are,
we must give Rafa another chance..or lose a GOOD man of dignity & Vison...................perhaps forveer.

TO MY (estranged children Leon & Noela dedicate this video of Rhys A Young lad who may not survive the year &......i want to share this with you, you know I made a party invitation to my neighbours in Pg, , well I left it on the doormat of all the occupants, and one lady smiled but didnt speak english, 2 others were really ignorant and the others were out, it should start @ 18h ..at 18.30 I was sending messages on facebook, with a kitchen full of drinks, I got Wine, champagne rakija, beer & juices & made some cevapi & sandwiches & laid out snacks....but no-one came (3 that i expected cancelled at last minute )..just a bit before 7pm the owner, wife and son arrived, the owner speaks a little bit french, so we could talk a bit . and their son, could talk some english and he translated for the mother, then the lady next door (who smiled) with a girlfriend of hers & her son.(Luka, it was the name i remembered ) he was about the same age as my son Leon..the last time I saw him 4 years ago .., but his Luka is a bit invalided, although he could speak some english, his mother & the other lady could not, and I asked him if he liked football, and which team ..he replied yes "real madrid" I smiled and told him.. "Liverpool beat them last time 4-0 ..do you want tp be a Liverppol supporter ?"..he shrugged, so I got my "personal scarf" ("born a Red, live a Red, die a Red.." which is rare, and has been all over europe to many big games, not easy to get one of these special scarves only @ Anfield ..) but I thought, "its xmas, i cant see or give my own son a nice xmas..) so I gave him the scarf and a special match programme of Lfc v Barcelona ..from a sem-final game @ Anfield, also special memory) he put the scarf on and tried to read the programme for the rest of the time, after an hour or so, the owners & the neighbours left...I shook his hand, gave him a big smile, as he kissed the scarf before he left.
it chokes me to write this..but this is xmas, and somehow thats how i get my compensation for no family! ;)

a) hodgson must go now (no in fact he must go "after 10 games"..even no manager is better than him
b) Kenny as (true) "Care taker"
c) Rafa should be offered the position of coach with Kenny as footy director, after a period of "calm & unification"

Rafa was the only manager to get more than an average amount of goals from Torres. thanks to detailed and specific advice Rafa gave him (which Torres said was incredible).Torres’ goal record in Spain was not the best; consistent, but never above 13 from open play in a season .... For Spain, it’s a decent international record, but not outstanding. (Spain press, but they often delay the final pass; Torres needs an early ball) Therefore, our main source of goals will always find it difficult if hodgson stays...thats a BIG reason the guy is p*ssed off?/

everyone can see whats wrong with hodgson' s deep set up, even against Napoli and Utrecht at home often we had 8 or more defending our box, and we dont have the pace to counter - attack @ speed ( a la Houllier's team)

you can go to Paul's "Tomkins Times"site if you want to see a list of the achievements of Rafa's tactics , even in the last season..unless you dont want to because the anti_Rafa - have "sky-washed your opinion, then there is no discussion, I want to communicate with the "reasonable" even if i am biased <smile>

...I recall my arguements with various Reds earlier this year, most of their "reasons" were bland, based on the media/ex players views, well I am rarely impressed by ex-players (none of them actually could "make it" as managers..) ..my unanswered question at that time is still true..who is better than Rafa?, and I got feeble or varied response, now if you are FAIR and accept that Rafa was removed whilst under a cloud of a false regime, and replaced by someone who has nothing like the credentials necessary to lead a global entity as LFc, then its right and proper that Rafa is re-instatated and given the chance to finish the job with reasonable funds and proper support ..Rafa walked away from valencia , Lfc and probably Inter because the club "hierachy" LIED to him..even if you dont like Rafa, and even dont accept that a majority would take him back..dont you want to be fair to him????S

his chance (and ours) was cut short by Hicks, Purslow & broughton , I dont buy into the xenophobic BS, some say we need a manager who wants to play attacking football. , yet season before last (despite restrictions applied by the board) we scored the most goals in the EPL?

some of the drivel of those claiming to be Lfc fans ..is also embarassing..they just repeat the anti-rafa media biase and are too stupud to realise that most of the media are mancs or cockneys and were scared of what rafa might do with the right backing..so far Valencia (whose president would also have Rafa back) Lfc and Inter have lied to him..why should REDs supporters fail to be anythign other than fair to him, he has been supportive of us from day 1 ?

?+ in the last 10 years Rafa has won ; La liga (twice) Uefa cup, comunity shield, FA cup , Champions league , super cup and World club championship..anyone out there (not on contract ) with better WINNING trophies records than that? the last 2 years were blighted by Parry, Hicks, Purslow, Broughton s mess & boardroom politics..let him finish the job..(and learn your history before arguing)

some will pick out the Xabi fiasco but it was Xabi's wife who wasnt happy, an unhappy wife makes an unhappy player, Rafa made us proud made us hold our heads up, (ISTANBUL+). and rectified most of the failed transfers quickly, & brought in players of true quality here; Garcia, Alonso, Agger, Reina, Bennyoun, ..Torres, etc ...who could become an all-time great if supported, with intelligent tactics.

its gonna be a big fight to get back up there. Would Rafa fancy going another 12 rounds for us? I feel he would If he decided he fancied it I would welcome him back with open arms and back him 100% and if 75% of our support agree then maybe our job is to convince the "sky - washed" and we need independent media like "Redmen" to do that We need to look to move forward from this mess as soon as possible. We need players but we cant trust Roy with any money,

Rafa could get better results with these players. Imagine if we had Rafa for the derby game and Newcastle away and where those 6 points would put us near enough to the top.. King Kenny wants the job now, and thats fine, because Rafa brought Kenny back, so IF we all work on unification they can work together again!

An obstacle to Rafa coming back is even our own Pro-Rafa brigade?. Purely because NESV know (or have been told?) that Rafa had the majority of fans behind him and if they bring him back and things don't go well or if they have a fall out with Rafa and want to get rid of him it will be very difficult to do so without alienating a section of the supporters. This could be a stumbling block for NESV who are still seeing pockets of anti-USA factions within the clubs supporters.<smile> However Alarm bells must be ringing when Henry-Werner see fewer & fewer fans want to watch "he old codgers face rubs or his "tactics"..

FACT; Of all available candidate for the job Rafa ticks all the boxes.

Rafa Benitez made us believe again. He gave us an incredible sense of well being on many many occasions. These things make a difference in the normal lives of many.but the feeling i am getting is that those from the offical site LFC tv seem to have and anti Rafa Brigade. And those on Red and White Kop, and other independent sites like TIA etc seem to be more of the match going crowd, or auld arses who have been going for yonks - feel we have a huge debt to Rafa. I would ask all those who doubt Rafa to do, is remember the elation you felt beating chelsea, outdoing moureen! Remember how you felt when we embarressed the mancs and real madrid in front of the world. Remember the hundreds of thousands who turned out on the streets to cheer our boys back from istanbul.

Remember how we felt great again.

If henry gives Rafa the tools to unearth the talent we need we can continue on the journey. Oh and the way Rafa's last seaso went ?....scratch that ...those were circumstances of pure Texan cow sh*te!
There's no doubting his credentials as a manager, but he needs to be backed by the board.... 9/10 was a slight hiccup under Benitez, that hodgson's somehow managed to turn into a nasty cough. Benitez teams could ocassionally also frustrate as well as excite (demoliton of Real Madrid at Anfield, etc but footy dont always work, its not an exact science-some booed a 0-0 draw against West Ham on the same ground! but we were top!)

..most travelling Reds at least had faith in him as a manager.

Good managers are few and far between and Benitez will not be unemployed for long, so if Henry and co. decide they do want him back, then they'll need to act quickly and not dither about.having lived abroad most of the last 30 years as I have had to travel to home games , often easier to get to away matches in europe, so not only was i made up by Rafa turning us into a European force again, but for me the "away days (or 2/3 days were some of the best memories of my 40+ years as a supporter ..Madrid, Barca, Marseille, Milan, Athens...Istanbul

..even going to stamford bridge was a long -distance travel for me , but winning there a couple of years ago and running the gauntlet of p*ssed off cockneys was a great feeling too..like the old days of 20+ years ago when they hated us for winning everything, theres so many naive fans now cant see whats going on in the media..

..the media (& fergie) were sh*t scared of what Rafa could do with us and proper backing..theres been some nasty stuff going on, and we supporters need to get him back, to finish the job, theres no one out there with a better record of winning top trophies (and I dont mean minor scandanavian leagues ) the last 2 years were blighted by Parry, Hicks, Purslow, Broughton s mess & boardroom politics..let him finish the job..(and learn your history before arguing)..he IS one of ours!

a) Rafa had the best win ratio of our managers in the last 20 years
b) he made us a force in europe and no1 on the UEFA list
c) brought us as close to the league as anyone has since Kenny
d) made us 5 times winner ,,worth that alone just to remind the mancs! ;)
e) that despite the media claims he brought players Torres, Reina, Masch, Alonso, Agger ..who are TOP class and who made us the most feared team in europe..

the owners need to be effective, endorsing hodgson & retaining purslow were mistakes , and it concerns me who is advising them..they also loaded the 83 million bank loan on our assets, anfield and melwood which ewe... protested aginst G & H attempting to do, so ..lets just be fair, as far as I am concerned Rafa is part of the holy trinity, players, manager and supporters like we were in Shanks day, and we can return to the values of our best days again, and Henry - Werner are not my concern, i dont give a whatsit about them ,the only think tHicks got right was that they got a "bargain"..because I wanted a supporters owned Lfc , but purslow & broughton didnt..!! and SoS/Sharelfc delayed their action too long..

Fantasy, fear or .......worthy of challenge?

Opinion or fantasy?...how do you destroy your enemy's power base..?

How about convince the owners to sell it to some "cowboys"
...then promise the customer base/community that "improvements will come"
then load it with debt, and fail to improve service or product, undermine the competent manager in charge ,
by feeding mis-information to media

so that the bank can employ a chairman & director that know little about the subject
and one of which has allegiences to a direct rival...................................

employ a manager whose credentials have "loser" written all over it

then when the people eventually wake up and protest , sell it to "other" owners
..who then load the credit against the companys assets..
employ someone who admires a "loser" , ignore the most experienced man at the company
........................................and endorse the "loser" managing it
